"What a great surprise!"
We were in New Orleans' French Quarter for only one day. We had wandered everywhere, tried some local food in the morning and at lunch; however, we knew we wanted our dinner to be special. We were walking down Bourbon Street reading menus on the windows and stopped in front of 424 Seafood Market. The menu was enticing enough for us to give it a try. We were so glad we did! The service was quick but not rushed. I had a glass of Chardonnay, and my husband had a beer. We did not order appetizers, but went straight for the main course. I had the Shrimp and Maque Choux Grits and my husband ordered The New Orleans Trio. The flavors were incredible. We would both go back again when we next visit New Orleans.
The food was very good but our waiter is what made this a memorable evening. We let him make most of our decisions because we had no idea what was good and he was spot on with everything. My advise do not go to the super high dollar have to wear a collard shirt places and go here relax and enjoy!!
"Oysters and cocktails supreme"
Almost literally stumbled in here from Bourbon Street and sat at the bar. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere, with a view of the parades outside. Ordered charbroiled oysters (amazing) and the spicy crawfish lettuce wraps (to die for). Incredible cocktail list -- had something pink and delicious (think it was a gulf coast martini?) and would recommend that, though other patrons at the bar were having similar success with their cocktail orders. Couldn't have planned this any better, with zero planning. With the many tales of questionable eateries along Bourbon Street, Pier 424 is a gem. Go.
"Will definitely come back"
Delicious! Sat at the bar & server was awesome! Bloody Mary's were great & made with Tito's vodka. Had the NOLA bites (heaven in your mouth), charbroiled oysters (DELICIOUS), and crab claw appetizer (awesome). Will definitely come back.
Some of the best fresh charbroiled oysters and seafood in town. Great ambiance, friendly knowledgable staff. Did I mention the delicious food? My fave!
"Definitely check it out!"
Stopped by Pier 424 on a recommendation. It being a Monday night, I was craving red beans & rice. I sat at the bar where Raymond helped me out. He was great! Very friendly, made a great drink and all the while shucking oysters. The beans and rice were amazing, I still can't stop talking about how good they were. Definitely check it out!
"The food was great!"
The food was great! Very short wait time for the food to arrive at the table. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. The host Phill, was the original reason we decided to try the place. He was friendly, good with children and when he had time checked on tables and took the time to ask John our 5 year grandson if he would like to hold a lobster.
Best service ever. Amazing food. You have to have the sautéed crab claws. I just couldn't get enough. In fact will go back before we head back home.
